An All New Exciting Life As A Salesforce Professional

Being a mobile architect by profession and an eternal travel enthusiast I went around the world for my education and career. One fine day I was introduced to Salesforce training in Chennai by one of my ex-colleagues from then my motivation towards life seemed to differ. An American cloud computing company, Salesforce, resources its revenues from client relationship management services. In this connect I would like to share a glimpse of my exciting career at Salesforce. It’s been nine years today since I joined the Salesforce ecosystem. My journey with Salesforce started off as a developer and I continued to upgrade myself to a Technical Lead and currently I trail as a Practice Head. I have a potential team that works on various innate and fusion mobile applications.

My everlasting fervour towards learning propels me on the road to hands-on training in the core platform. I began with Salesforce SDK and continued to learn about Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud. On an honest note, I remained unsure of my journey when I began but now with great pride I put forth that joining Salesforce is one of the priceless decisions that I have taken so far. I have been recognized for my skills and I continue to be the speaker at Dreamforce since 2012. Today I feel blessed to be a fragment of this incredible Salesforce designer community. I endured to experimental learning during the first couple of years. Slowly I began to realize that the Salesforce community is the place designed for me. I went ahead and took various initiatives, I was the moderator for Developer Forum and presented my session at Dreamforce. Those experiences still linger on my mind.

A typical day for me begins at 5.30 a.m., being an early bird I get my things done even before my family wakes up. Most of my clients being at US, I plan my work agenda based on their working hours. I prepare a list of things to be done for the day, reply to emails, update blogs, moderate activities on my developer forum and answer queries. Client meetings are scheduled from 8.00 a.m. followed by a meeting with my team to discuss jobs for the day and ensure the delivery of project outcomes at the right time. Communication is kept short and operative. Projects are followed with keen interest for timely completion.

Weekly product roadmap and strategy meetings form a crucial part of the day’s agenda. I work hands on at architecture and code reviews which has always been my fascination. I also involve myself in handling billing, resourcing and overall account management. Then I continue to perform a swift status check on projects. The team members update the status on their project completion level. I make it a point to mastermind and ensure if all projects are proceeding in the right track. Intellectual self-building resources like Developer Force Wiki and Salesforce Trailhead contribute tremendously towards moulding the inner you. My job offers enough opportunity to keep me abreast on the latest technological developments. I continue to learn every day from my dynamic and challenging career and by that way I remain passionate with my profession. I truly have a satisfying life being a Salesforce professional.
